Canon is proud to introduce the YJ20x8.5B, which has emerged from Canon's top selling YJ19x9B, also known as the Pro-Video Industry Standard Lens. The YJ20x8.5B tops many Pro-Video standard lenses by offering the widest focal length (8.5mm), the highest zoom ratio (20x), and the fastest zoom speed (1.2 sec from wide end to tele end). In addition to having Canon's innovative Internal Focus (IF) Technology and exclusive Shuttle Shot Function, its new ergonomically designed drive unit accounts for its ideal balance and comfort.

The YJ20x8.5B IRS/KRS is a 20x 2/3" lens built to offer high performance in SDTV news gathering and field productions. Lightweight and durable, the lens weighs less than 4 lbs and can be relied upon under harsh conditions. Additionally, the YJ20x8.5B IRS/KRS is equipped with features such as quiet servo operation and shuttle-shot programmable positioning.

Internal Focus for Ultimate Versatility
Canon internal focus is made for the highest quality professional video cameras used in news and event videography. The front lens element is stationary and can be used with a matte box for greater lens flare protection, as well as a wide array of square and rectangular filters. Benefits include reduction in chromatic distortions, as well as decreases in flare.

Shuttle-Shot Technology
The lens has an added zoom capability; using the shuttle shot-switch. At the touch of a button, the lens can move to and from a pre-programmed point. This can be used both creatively, while providing a no-hassle way of verifying focus.

Integral 2x Extender - YJ20x8.5B IRS
For instant close-up shots, the lens has a switch which inserts an element that doubles the focal length at any point in the zoom range. Instead of using the zoom function, the extender gives immediate close-up images.
