With a capsule diameter not much bigger than the head of a pin, Audio-Technica’s smallest-ever lavalier microphone virtually disappears in props or clothing to create highest-quality audio for broadcast and theater sound reinforcement.
The BP896cW lavalier microphone for Audio-Technica wireless systems provides clear and natural sound reproduction and readily accepts very high sound pressure levels. Its robust omnidirectional miniature capsule is discreetly integrated into the body of the microphone, and has an internal structure that minimizes handling noise, clothing and wind. The 4-pin HRS connector BP896cW simply plugs into all Audio-Technica wireless handheld transmitters. It may also connect to an XLR on phantom power, by connecting the AT8539 on a power module.
Offered in wired & wireless models, the BP896CW comes generously equipped with an extensive accessory kit—mic holders, windscreens, element covers & more.

The omnidirectional electret capsule provides clear and natural voice reproduction, similar to that of a high-quality lavalier microphone. Its sleek design makes it ideal for theater, places of worship and broadcast studios.
“TOTAL DISCRETION”
The BP896cW can be stuck to the forehead or on the cheek to guarantee near invisibility. For installation on a garment, it comes with several pin type fasteners or a more classic style of clip. All accessories are supplied as standard with the subminiature lavalier microphone.
NEAR INVISIBILITY
With its 2.6 mm diameter, the BP896cW can hide in the hair on the back of a neck, or be stuck to the cheek, for near invisibility.

At barely bigger than a pinhead, the BP896cW omnidirectional capsule delivers natural and intelligible sound.
