The HKSR-5803SQ RGB SQ Processor Board is an optional accessory interface board for the SRW-5800 VTR. When installed, it offers the ability to record and play back uncompressed 4:4:4 full bandwidth signals in SQ mode at 440Mbps (BRR 4:1). This board intrinsically meets the high demands of high-profile video operations often required by HDCAM/HDCAM SR studios, compositing suites, and digital mobile units.

• RGB 4:4:4 recording and playback with SQ mode (440Mbps, BRR 4:1) in HDCAM SR format; 4:4:4 recording is competitive with 2K data for high end archiving and digital intermediate workflows

• 4:4:4 color resolution is ideal for compositing purposes such as chroma keying, due to the massive amount of color information provided through its data stream

• An increased level of latitude is also a benefit to higher color resolution; this translates into footage that is a lot easier to color correct during post sessions
